Overview

This barn was where the harvested corn was “crushed’ to prepare feed for the working horses the cattle and the sheep on the farm. Today the original “crush” and a sheep trough stand on display outside in the courtyard.  An imaginative conversion of this country barn results in a 5-star spacious accommodation set out on one level.

Because of the location of this barn the area does not suffer from any light pollution and as such on clear nights you can experience some truly breath-taking dark sky stargazing.

Days can be lazy and restful, or activity filled in this beautiful location.

The property is located in a quiet hamlet just one mile from the town of Amble.  Right from your doorstep you can explore a range of walking, cycling and running routes and restful views of beautiful open countryside from the garden.

  • Sleeps up to 6 (2 Kingsize beds, 2 x single beds)
  • Less than a mile to the coast
  • Excellent Wi-Fi throughout the property
  • Smoke & Pet Free
  • Transport Links

Whilst in Amble, watch the local fishing boats unload the daily catch and purchase the freshest seafood from the Alliance fish stall. Enjoy coffee and cakes or dine at the restaurants on the harbour. Dip into the little shore beach and explore the rock pools on the ‘jumpy’ shore. Browse through the independent shops and the collection of retail 'pods' next to the harbour and enjoy the local produce in the many restaurants found in town. Take kayak or paddle board lessons from the surf school. Cyclists and runners have a wonderful separate road side track to Alnmouth from Warkworth. Enjoy taking a river walk to Warkworth to visit the medieval castle.
