Overview
An exceptional unique 5 star property close to the seashore with panoramic coastal views. Whether it be calm and tranquil seas or wild and frantic waters you will never tire of simply looking out of the windows.
This property was the original Coastguard Station in Amble from where the lifeboat used to be launched from mid 1800’s. A sensitive renovation and rebuild has taken place to allow the house to become a stunning open plan residence with the best location in Amble, You could not be staying any closer to the sea. This house is light and airy with full east to west views.

Immediately outside the house you can stroll around the breakwater and pier to the harbour. Watch the local fishing boats unload the daily catch and purchase the freshest seafood from the Alliance fish stall. Enjoy coffee and cakes or dine at the restaurants on the harbour. Dip into the little shore beach and explore the rock pools on the ‘jumpy’ shore, both are adjacent to the house. Browse through the independent shops and the collection of retail 'pods' next to the harbour and enjoy the local produce in the many restaurants found in town. Take kayak or paddle board lessons from the surf school. Cyclists and runners have a wonderful separate road side track to Alnmouth from Warkworth. Enjoy taking a river walk to Warkworth to visit the medieval castle.

Entrance
The apartment has 2 entrances, one from the sea front on the promenade and one from Bay View above.
2 steps up from the promenade through a private gate is the lower entrance, this leads into the hallway. Here you will find boot storage and there are full bi-fold windows that open across the front. There are 2 desks with leather chairs giving you the best working from home office space you could ever have.
Living Space
The hall way from a very slight step up* leads to the open plan living space
The spacious Scandi' style sitting room has an underfloor heating system There are large comfy leather sofas and a smart TV plus side tables. The view from this room is simply breath taking and ever-changing. Full bi-fold windows open across the whole of this room.
Kitchen/Dining
The kitchen also has an underfloor heating system and is extremely well equipped. It is a joy to cook and dine in The curves of the kitchen echo the waves of the sea. Appliances include a dishwasher, induction hob, 2 electric ovens with a grill. There is an American fridge freezer that has a chill system which provides ice and water. A microwave, kettle and toaster all complement the glass and steel look to the ground floor.
You will find a washing machine and a tumble dryer here.
In the kitchen diner you have a glass and steel table with super comfy leather dining chairs.
Bedroom 1
In bedroom 1 you have a super-king size bed. With a wardrobe, drawers and bedside shelving furnishing the room. The en-suite shower room has a rain shower WC and sink with storage. A lighted mirror is fitted as is a heated towel rail. There is a gas central heating radiator to the bedroom.
Bedroom 2
The second bedroom has a zip link King size bed and this can be split to make 2
SINGLES ON REQUEST. Open steel clothes storage, pine drawers and bedside cabinets completes this room. The en-suite has a rain shower and WC plus a sink with storage. A shaving light is fitted as is a heated towel rail. There is a gas central heating radiator to the bedroom.
Outside
There is a large patio on two levels with a table and chairs.
From here you have wonderful views of the pier, the little shore and the breakwater.
Sitting out here with morning coffee or dining with drinks is a wonderful experience.
Should you wish to bring your kayaks or paddle boards then they can be stored here ready to just carry into the sea.
The upper entrance to the apartment is from Bay View The door is the first one along the pathway to right of The Old Coastguard Station. Here you will find your key box.
An internal staircase takes you down into the apartment.

All of the room windows are fitted with full black out blinds for your comfort.
A high chair is available on request. Immediately outside the house you can stroll along the breakwater and pier to the harbour.

Walk along Amble links beach to Hauxley and continue as far as Cresswell passing through Druridge Bay Alternatively stroll or cycle the coastal path to the same destination.
From Alnmouth train station which is 10 minutes drive away you can easily reach York, Durham, Newcastle, Berwick upon Tweed and Edinburgh, you can even visit London for the day.
Take a boat trip to Coquet Island for the amazing birdlife.
Spot the numerous sea birds plus the seals and the pods of dolphins making occasional appearances at the harbour mouth.

A pet may be considered at the property on request only and there is a non-smoking/vaping policy within the house.
Due to the immediate proximity of the sea we cannot guarantee that whilst the windows are cleaned weekly they may have a salted appearance dependent upon the weather.
Please note there is a refundable £200 Housekeeping deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

The views, from almost every window, are out of this world ,and you can almost see the fish in the sea-you are so close!!!!!
All the super fish and Italian restaurants are in walking distance-we love The Old Boat House and Rossini Italian!!!

I just feel for such an upmarket house it should have a television in each bedroom not just the master room.
Check in time is also extremely late ( 5pm ) you lose a day’s holiday .
Had an amazing holiday . Thank you
